Vacation - day one

And we were off, but not before deciding give our 17-year-old wagon a rest and to rent a minivan.  I wanted a cd player, which I got, but also ended up with a dvd player, satellite radio, and windows that open and close with the touch of a button.
Plus, we folded down the back row of seats and put in four bikes (two folding) and luggage.
Ooh - look!  Head rests on the seats in the back!
The drive was uneventful with a stop for lunch and an almost mandatory stop in Bishop to visit a bakery (that does not allow photos inside).
We found this first, but decided it did not look like a bakery.
The long line of cars let us know this was the right place.

Our condo was spacious (each kid had his/her own bed and David and I had our own room!) and came with a nice view from the balcony.

We tried the pool the first evening, but saved the ping pong table and video games for a different day.  It was a good drive, nice meal at Giovanni's, and then to bed.
