Gardening

 I see so many people talking about vegetables they are planting and I admire their talents. All of it - finding the right place, finding the right soil, giving the plants the right amount of water, and dealing with animals with two, four, or six legs that also want to eat the vegetables - makes me want to support the local farmers.

But look what I did in one week! 

In the end I gave up and gave it to a neighbor who will deal with the hard parts.

Soon I will need to deal with the lettuce

and these surprises I found in the compost bin.

There is a joke going around that the worse purchase of 2019 was a planner for 2020.

I purchased this calendar last July and I still love it.

Bats have been in the news because they spread disease, and the holiday (some people celebrate a whole week) got some bad press. Life is never dull.

Passing Time

According to a poll from a jigsaw puzzle company site, 53% of people look at the picture of the puzzle while they are putting it together. I wonder if it is higher than that because this company makes fancy puzzles that might bring in more traditionalists. I was amazed to see that they are sold out of their puzzles with "Super Fancy Piece Shapes."

The friend and I swapped puzzles (allowing for time for them to be decontaminated) and inside the box 

was this box stand.
