Spring

I got to see a little bit of snow.

There were even a few flakes falling when I arrived.

Mostly I got all the beauty of spring without any challenges of winter.

So many beautiful trees!

So many different kids of daffodils

Training Squirrels

We seem to have a couple new young squirrels in our yard.  They seem to be just fine hanging out while I am in the yard, but I would like these bushy-tailed rodents to be a little more scared of humans. I chase them away each and every time, but they haven't gotten the hint.

Near the base of the tree, not running away

On the base of another tree, not running away

Caught in the act! It had the orange in
its mouth and dropped it when it saw me.

Time to get a dog?

Headline News

On April 3 our history calendar highlighted the first mobile phone call.

On April 4 the New York Times used their Headlines in History to mention
that the wire-less telephone had been introduced the day before.

I think this is the first time it has happened, but I keep looking for another connection.

National Look Up at the Sky Day

I celebrated!
I hope it is not cheating if I looked at the sky through the trees.

Water

On Thursday I rode with a friend and took these water pictures.

Above the dam in San Dimas Canyon

Puddingstone Reservoir in Bonelli Park

On Saturday I rode on the back of the tandem on got these water pictures.

If you look carefully you can see the water on the lower left side.

That shiny bit on the bottom is water. Really!

On Friday I rode to campus by myself.

How could I resist?

New Parking Place

For a while I was taking a picture of each place I parked my bicycle,

like this

but I feel like I have not gone anywhere new recently.

I went here for the first time

and parked here.

Opposite the bike racks were scopes
d
with this label.

This is what it looks like when you look inside one

and this is the other.

Not the most exciting, but I take new things where I find them.

March Leftovers

View from the top of the garage, which I had just swept.
No problem getting up, but asked for help getting down.

It was a beautiful day in the botanic garden.

I took someone into the old school
and found a working water fountain.

I had never heard of Miskatonic University.
I was disappointed to learn that it does not exist,
but the website is very entertaining.
