Belated Holiday Post

Don't you just love April Fool's Day?

The health club was offering classes like how to relax by the pool. Did you know Johns Hopkins is joining the Ivy League? Hat tip to A for that one.

The connections puzzle was entertaining.

My very favorite was WorLdle.

Guess the flag

January Leftovers

As we were walking home we found a jazz concert at Skyspace

drawing from orthopedic specialist explaining my meniscus flap

mini museum in basement of Mudd building

curtains from cocoa beans in Redlands chocolate store

treasure from sale at school

Those darn squirrels!

I loved getting a new red envelope from the library.

December '24 Leftovers

Soaking up these sweet moments

A petting zoo came to campus before final
and we visited even though we had no exams.

Someone put crystal dreidels in our little library.

In the puzzle library someone left an envelope with a found puzzle piece

Thanksgiving '24

We started the holiday early by going to the Thanksgiving service.

The Turkey Trot had perfect weather.
This year I was cheering with friends and only D. ran.

I made a lot of food

and D. set the table and cleaned up.
Good teamwork.

I was especially proud of my homemade centerpieces.

I hope you had a nice day, too.

Halloween

As celebrated by little free libraries within a two-block radius

black cat

spider

papel picado

free Halloween tchotchkes

camouflaged spider

a couple books in my library

World Series

The best thing about the World Series was subscribing to newspapers from both cities so we received two special sections.

Friends invited us over to watch with them and their place was decked out. They rent their place and the owners have put many fake animals in the yard.

Inside the house everyone was dressed in Dodgers gear,
but hats were set aside.

They even had something I had never seen, Dodgers papel picado!

Another winner of the day was a friend who also combined two celebrations.

Another Holiday

We were in Ohio for Juneteenth (more on that later)

and the airline had decorations up in Cleveland.

Banks were closed, but there we did not see
other signs of the holiday in southwest Ohio.

I can always count on the library for information.

When I was cycling around northeast Ohio I saw two houses with Juneteenth flags.
