January Leftovers

As we were walking home we found a jazz concert at Skyspace

drawing from orthopedic specialist explaining my meniscus flap

mini museum in basement of Mudd building

curtains from cocoa beans in Redlands chocolate store

treasure from sale at school

Those darn squirrels!

I loved getting a new red envelope from the library.

work

I have been working at the elementary school during recess and lunch time. I am told I am helpful, but it feels like most kids are just fine without me and the others need about ten of me!

Can you believe this tree looks so great?
R. started here twenty years ago and
I did not think this tree would make it.

I really love the one-on-one time with a little one and my neighbors said they could use some help! I took care of Baby three days as a trial run. It was so fun to walk around the neighborhood and pull out my favorite books and cds. And they paid me!

I like having flowers in the window, but I seldom have any and just as often think to buy some.

I bought my first Lego set.

I enjoyed building it with tips from my sister, an AFOL.

After the current flowers die I'll put these in the window.

No prize

I read in the paper that Cracker Jacks was eliminating the toy inside and replacing it with a code to get a game to play on an electronic device.  I'd give that a hearty Bronx cheer!

When I saw these at the store a couple days later I snatched them up, thinking I had outsmarted the company and would be able to get some old ones that still had real prizes.  I should have realized it was the new packaging and not been hoodwinked.

It isn't that the old prizes have been great recently, not nearly as great as a teeny tiny camera I used for my dolls when I was a kid.  But these aren't choking hazards.  Sigh.

I am not downloading an app and scanning an image.
Life is full of changes. I can handle it.
