February Leftovers

Pretty spring blossoms

I think every member of the football team rides an electric scooter.

We went to a huge estate sale and it was fun to see everything,
but I really wanted the nice drawers and cabinets.

I wonder how long this little library has been on the Pitzer campus.

"Take a Break," at a bus stop

I have a great job.

I was happy I decided to hear a student interview Nicholas Kristof.

Everyone gives away lemons, which I like.
I was very excited to find this box, which had tangerines.

When the Stars Align

Or maybe when the planets align? There have been articles about seeing the planets so we checked out a website and headed outside with the binoculars.

We easily spotted Orion.

We used the map to realize the brightest orb was Venus.

We also figured out which ones were Mars and Jupiter. I do not see astronomy as being our retirement hobby.

Life's Little Mysteries

Why do you think people stopped using turn signals?

Ignoring any discussion about which direction to walk around a track, why do some people warmup and stretch in the lanes and not this beautiful, wide-open triangle of nothingness? I no longer use this track.

And why do people walk in lane one or two, walk around the barrier, and then go back to inner lanes? I almost stopped him and asked.

Things I Did Not Buy

This is a common post when I am overseas, but why not have the same post close to home? All pictures taken today.

These looked yummy, but why were they imported from Denmark?

I found one recipe that calls for pumpkin spice
chips, but I'll stick with chocolate chips.

Even though we went to the same high school,
I don't think we eat the same kinds of food.

Last Ohio Post (for this round)

It was a good thing I packed warm clothing so I could enjoy going for walks and checking out the neighborhood.

It was cold, but I did not feel any calling to go out on the ice.

I loved visiting my old friend at the library

and going with Dad to visit old friends at the art museum.
I also love the sweater and hat Mom knit for him.

It was hard to say goodbye.

Travel Photos

Not the fancy kind of travel photos, just regular getting-from-one-place-to-another photos

It was a windy start to the trip.

I saved the 36th bottle

I mostly walked, but cycled once,
just to say I had done it

Art in the airport

It was nice to change planes in Phoenix and have new places to explore.

January Leftovers

As we were walking home we found a jazz concert at Skyspace

drawing from orthopedic specialist explaining my meniscus flap

mini museum in basement of Mudd building

curtains from cocoa beans in Redlands chocolate store

treasure from sale at school

Those darn squirrels!

I loved getting a new red envelope from the library.
