New Sidewalk Markings

Some people were walking around marking uneven bits of the sidewalk.

They were not concerned about where our driveway meets the sidewalk and is uneven, but that is not surprising.

The did mark the path from the sidewalk to the street.

Oopsie (or oopies, as my little one says)

Belated Holiday Post

Don't you just love April Fool's Day?

The health club was offering classes like how to relax by the pool. Did you know Johns Hopkins is joining the Ivy League? Hat tip to A for that one.

The connections puzzle was entertaining.

My very favorite was WorLdle.

Menisectomy

It was dark and I told myself to be careful on the step and I did not listen to myself.

I ended up in urgent care and learned nothing was torn or broken.

I had all sorts of physical therapy.

I eventually had an MRI, which showed a flap on my meniscus. A flap can get caught and is often removed, which was the recommendation.

I was feeling fine so it was a little hard to open my mind to surgery, but I was optimistic it was the right choice in the long run.

all cleaned up

One day after surgery,
after the anesthesia had worn off

Eight days after surgery I went for a teeny tiny bike ride.

I just had my last visit with the surgeon. Everything looks great and as long as I keep doing what the physical therapist says to do, I am free to go. I have two more weeks of increased time on the elliptical machine and then I'll do a trial run. The days are longer, but I carry a light when I walk in the dark.

March Leftovers 2025

Took a friend to urgent care and thought these
chairs looked like they had virus upholstery.

My little one loves to shell peas even if she doesn't like to eat them.

She and her family went to Taliesin West and brought
me a mini puzzle with a note on the other side.

Not sure why I brought back some plants and a pot from the give-a-plant, take-a-plant event at the library, but they are still alive so far.

Bus Stops

I saw them installing new bus stops.

It looks good and has a functional bench.

This is the stop directly across the street.

At the main transit area in town there are six
stone stops with solid roofs.

This stop is across the street from the stone shelters.

This one is east of the stone shelters

and this is across the street.

Here are a few more in town.
