Last Day of Classes

Final exams can be a big deal, but maybe it is different in different places. When I was in Denmark it was the last day of classes before a long weekend and then the beginning of exams. There was quite a celebration, with the oldest students dressing up.

There is no drinking age, but you have to be
16 to buy lighter products and 18 to buy hard liquor.

These guys were so happy to pose for a picture in the grocery store.
Their crate of beer is to the right.

Everyone gathers in the central park, drinkers and non-drinkers alike.

Here are few photos from the local newspaper.

The locals volunteer to keep an eye on things.

The police were there, too, but also just milling about.

Not quite like where we live!
