Houseguests

I didn't go overseas my junior year but took part in an exchange that waived the out-of-state fees, which made a year at University of Delaware about the same price as my home institution.  My R.A. was a friendly guy and we did some bike rides together.

You might have to enlarge this map to see my favorite ride, which was along 896.  I would start in Delaware, ride across the corner of Maryland, and arrive in Pennsylvania, which meant cycling in three states in a matter of minutes.

We also met up to cycle when we both lived in Texas and cycled with our families in California.  We had a chance to catch up when they were in town with their teenager to look at colleges.  Here's hoping for four years of visits.

Our other houseguest is different from our usual four-legged variety.  I can't remember the last time we had a cat in the house, but it is easy and mildly entertaining, too.

No one else is scheduled to visit, but life is full of surprises.  Maybe you will visit!
