Catching Up

I had my fill of pop culture last week. On my flights to and from Ohio I had the opportunity to watch movies.

For the first time I saw A Christmas Story (1983), which was filmed in Cleveland.

I also saw Love Actually (2003) for the first time.

Barbie came out only this year, so I am not so far behind.

1994-2004
I watched a few episodes, which seemed like enough.

Dad and I saw Maestro in the movie theater.

Movies

Maybe it is something I learned from my mom, but I am don't like watching movies often. I have a few old favorites that I have seen a zillion times, like Airplane and What's Up Doc.  We don't have a streaming service, but this month will be different.

We had no plans to see Hamilton when it was being performed live but we are planning to watch it on Disney+. Paying $7.00 for a month seems like a great deal. I got the cd from the library and have listened to it once. I should probably listen a thousand more times, or at least read the lyrics.

Netflix still offers free trials so I signed up in order to watch this Eurovision movie. People who are thinking of watching it keep asking me if I thought it was bad, but it is hard for me to say. Of course it was bad but I wasn't expecting it to be good. I am content with fluff with a few inside jokes and cameos. I loved it!

Last time I donated platelets I watched Smallfoot and we watched Shaun the Sheep at home (dvd from the library - the library! so happy to get things from the library!). Maybe we'll watch Crip Camp or maybe Groundhog Day (which has a clock just like my sister used to have). Or nothing.
